Sandman (1994)
______________________________________________________________

Sandman is a spooky horror film about a teenage girl haunted by visions, guilt, and a spectral figure called the Sandman.

Shot on Super 8mm film in 1994, Sandman is an early film from Colin Clarke, director of the award winning shorts Witchfinder, Raven's Hollow and Frankenstein vs the Wolfman 3D.

Clarke says, “What you’ve got to remember is that when the film was made, shooting on Super 8, you didn’t know what you had until the film came back from the lab. So, if a shot was out of focus or under-lit, you wouldn’t know it for weeks later. And, there was no sync-sound. Nonetheless, it was fun to pull this out from the archive and capture close to the texture of the original celluloid in HD.”

Starring Angie Aguilar, Greg Smith, J.F. Gaziano, Gary LaMarca
Music by Dan Rippentrop
Produced by Colin Clarke and Gary LaMarca
Written and directed by Colin Clarke
